I've been thinking it's time for me to make a mix tape again. I've bought a lot of CDs after hearing a song from them on KEXP - in my mind, all perfect pop gems. My CD of perfect songs would include:

Magnetic Fields - Born on a Train
Catpower - Crossbone Style
Fiery Furnaces - Worry Worry
Wilco - I Am Trying to Break Your Heart
Beatles - Blackbird

etc. - I'll add to this list as the songs come to me.
