Last year I managed to dial down my purchases (and increase my borrowing of books) to the point where my total books bought (42) was not only less than it had been for the entire time I've been tracking this, but finally less than my total books read (47). I think that's quite an accomplishment! That's not to say I have room for all of my books, and it doesn't include all of the books I received as gifts (about 20 this year), but at least I'm getting more focused about my purchases.
